Actionize Terminology
Addressbook — Each Actionize user has an Addressbook which is where their contacts & client information is stored. Users may share their own Addressbook with other Actionize users.

Client — A client is a company, individual, or set of individuals that your company has been engaged to provide some type of marketing service. Future clients are referred to as leads.

Import — Bring in a list of contacts from another application right into Actionize. This is done by exporting from the other application into a .CSV formatted file. Actionize allows you to align the proper fields and automatically load the entire list into the system thereafter. Do we mention export is coming?

Milestones — A milestone is a definable status in a project. As such, it can be an event, the completion of one or more tasks, or other such accomplishment. Projects can have one or more milestones which help to organize participants and provide good check points during particularly long or complex projects.

Projects — A project is any work that you want to define and/or track. Projects can have milestones, tasks and comments. Projects involve one or more people that can share information including contacts, documents and notes associated with the project.

Project Peer — Someone who participates in a project whether it is their own or someone else's. Project peers can collaborate on specific projects to share contacts, documents and notes. Project peers can assign tasks and send notes to fellow project peers.

Relations — Contacts can be associated to other contacts, to companies or to you using relations. Some relations are automatically noted by Actionize such as two people who client and provider. Other relations can be indicated by the user such as "client", "works for", "supplier", "family", "friend", etc. Using relations can help sort and build lists as well as help build relevant relationships. Relations are available only for personal contacs in address books but not for project peers.

Tags — Tags are used to categorize contacts & clients. Users decide what tags to create and use. Contacts may have multiple tags. Examples of tags are identifying cold, warm or hot leads or using tags to track the source of the contact such as a mailing list or event.

Tasks — Tasks are activities that need to occur in a project or with regards to an opportunity. Tasks can be assigned to yourself or to other people. Tasks may have specific deadlines or general requirements such as Do Now or Do Later. Once a task is completed, the assigned user marks it as such and the system continues to record that the task was assigned and completed. When a user assigns a task to someone (including themselves), Actionize issues an email to notify that assigned user.
